HOME

Thank You for visiting our site.  We are a non-profit group made up of families providing support for children in need. Foster parents and their families open their hearts and homes to provide a safe and loving home to those in need.  Children suffering from abuse and/or neglect are placed in care for days, weeks and sometimes years and are often adopted by their foster families.

Our mission is to be informative as well as supportive to our future and current foster and/or adoptive parents.  We also want to encourage anyone wanting to become a foster/adoptive parent to go through our web site and learn what it takes to help a child.  It takes a special person to give love and support to someone else's child.  Are you that person?

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) group, if you see that fostering children is not for you but you would still like to help contact us.  There are many ways to help the children in need.

In Georgia, there are many children in foster care who need a foster family or adoptive family. The greatest need for foster parents is for older children, sibling groups and medically fragile children. The majority of children in need of adoptive families are aged 8 years and older, African American, male and/or a member of a sibling group who wish to be placed together.

Becoming a foster parent is a big commitment with even bigger rewards.  The needs of children in care are not just food, clothing, and a safe secure home. They also need reassurance, encouragement, self esteem, love, and the ability to love someone else.

If you would like to learn more about fostering or adoption through Cherokee County Department of Family and Children Services, please call the Impact Inquiry Line at 877-210-5437. This is the first step to becoming a foster or adoptive parent.
